Diploma in Dialysis Technician Course ( One Year )
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
1-To provide foundational knowledge of human anatomy and physiology with emphasis on the renal system.
2-To understand the principles, types, and procedures of dialysis treatment.
3-To identify and manage common renal diseases requiring dialysis.
4-To train students in operating and maintaining dialysis machines and equipment.
5-To develop skills in preparing patients for dialysis, including vascular access care.
6-To ensure competence in infection control, aseptic techniques, and waste disposal.
7-To educate students on the pharmacological and nutritional needs of dialysis patients.
8-To enable students to recognize and respond to dialysis-related complications and emergencies.
9-To provide hands-on experience through clinical training in hospital dialysis units.
10-To instill professional ethics, communication skills, and patient care responsibilities.

Semester 1:Foundation
Module 1:Human Anatomy & Physiology
Duration:Five weeks
Type :Theory+ Practical
Objective:To Understand the structure and function of the human body with emphasis on the renal system.
Module 2:Basics of Dialysis
Duration:Four Weeks
Type :Theory + Practical
Objective:Learn the principles and components of dialysis systems.
Module 3:Renal Diseases & Dialysis Indications
Duration:Four Weeks
Type :Theory + Practical
Objective:Understand renal pathologies and indications for dialysis.
Module 4:Infection Control & Patient Care
Duration:Five Weeks
Type :Theory + Practical
Objective:Learn infection prevention and basic patient care practices.
Module 5:Dialysis Machine & RO System
Duration:Five Weeks
Type :Theory + Practical
Objective:Operate dialysis machines and water purification systems.
Semester 2
Module 6:Vascular Access & Monitoring
Duration:Four Weeks
Type :Theory + Practical
Objective:Handle vascular access and monitor patients during dialysis.
Module 7:Dialyzer Reuse & Maintenance
Duration:Three Weeks
Type :Theory+ Practical
Objective:Clean, disinfect, and reuse dialyzers properly.
Module 8:Pharmacology & Nutrition
Duration :Three Weeks
Type :Theory + Practical
Objective:Learn drug and diet management for dialysis patients.
