Diploma in Dialysis Technician Course ( Two Year )
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
1-To provide foundational knowledge of human anatomy and physiology with emphasis on the renal system.
2-To understand the principles, types, and procedures of dialysis treatment.
3-To identify and manage common renal diseases requiring dialysis.
4-To train students in operating and maintaining dialysis machines and equipment.
5-To develop skills in preparing patients for dialysis, including vascular access care.
6-To ensure competence in infection control, aseptic techniques, and waste disposal.
7-To educate students on the pharmacological and nutritional needs of dialysis patients.
8-To enable students to recognize and respond to dialysis-related complications and emergencies.
9-To provide hands-on experience through clinical training in hospital dialysis units.
10-To instill professional ethics, communication skills, and patient care responsibilities.

Year 1:Foundation Year
Semester 1 (1-24 Weeks)
Module 1: Human Anatomy & Physiology

Module 2: Basics of Dialysis

Module 7: Dialyzer Reuse & Maintenance
